Do I need to hire a car?

Car hire is essential to get here, explore the area and get to the shops.  Car hire is available at Carcassonne and Toulouse airports.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available at the property with enough space for 2 cars per gite.

Do you provide internet access?

Yes. There is free wifi in each gite.

How often are towels and sheets changed?

Bed linen and towels are changed on a weekly basis. Access is required from 10am on the cleaning day. If you require extra towels or linen there is a small additional laundry charge payable.

Are there any shops/facilities in the village?

There is a butchers, bakery, general store, hairdresser, pharmacy, bar and post office in the village which is 15/20 mins walk or 2 minutes in the car. The post office has an ATM.  There is a Carrefour Market at Bram (5 minutes by car) which also has a petrol station, carwash and large washing machine/dryers. At Castelnaudary (10 minutes by car) there is a large Intermarché supermarket with petrol station and a small shopping centre.  There is also a lovely farm shop, Les Jardins de Vaissières, selling fresh produce and wine at the end of the road on the corner with the D218 and D623.  There are weekly markets in Bram (Wednesday), Castlenaudary (Monday), Limoux (Friday), Mirepoix (Monday) and Carcassonne (Saturday).

Do you have hypoallergenic bedding?

All of our duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic with the feel of feathers.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes.  We have a small, friendly dachshund at the property and welcome other dogs.  You are responsible for clearing up any mess your dog makes in the garden and for any damage caused by your dog in the gites or garden.  You are also responsible for ensuring your dog doesn't disturb other guests.

Are the gites heated/air-conditioned?

In cooler weather we provide electric oil heaters.  There is also a wood burning stove in each gite.  Wood can be purchased from us or at the local stores if you would like to use it.  In summer, the thick stone walls keep the buildings cool and we provide fans for the bedrooms.  Mosquito nets are also provided in each bedroom.
